“Honourable Prime Minister,

The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) extends warm congratulations to the Government and people of Grenada on the country’s Fiftieth Anniversary of Independence being celebrated under the theme “One People, One Journey, One Future”.

This significant milestone is testament to the unwavering determination and resilience of Grenadians.

Grenada can be proud of its significant achievements, flourishing democracy, and global contributions in various spheres.  The vibrant fusion of history, culture and island spirit that meld to form Grenada’s unique identity as the “Spice Isle”, will no doubt shine through in your celebrations.

Honourable Prime Minister, we appreciate Grenada’s commitment to regionalism and your leadership, particularly in Science and Technology, for which you hold portfolio responsibilities in the Quasi-Cabinet of the CARICOM Conference of Heads of Government. As you assume Chairmanship of the Heads of Government Conference in July, we look forward to your vision and advocacy for the Region in multilateral fora, where your leadership will undoubtedly strengthen regional unity and promote enhanced sustainable development for the collective benefit of the people of the Community.

Honourable Prime Minister, the Caribbean Community joins the Government and People of Grenada in celebrating your Golden Jubilee of Independence. May your journey towards a secure future be filled with continued peace and progress.”

The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Export Development of Grenada, the assurances of its highest consideration.
